A record of the work you put in
Study time, with a little context.
Name an activity Study, Deep work or the subject you’re learning. Keep a record that tells you what the session was for, how it went, and what comes next.
- 01
Choose what you’ll work on.
Name your activity and pick one task for the session: review a chapter, practice a problem set, or work through your notes.
- 02
Tap and get started.
Your timer counts up. It stays on the Lock Screen as a Live Activity, so you can put the phone down. Pause for a break and finish when you’re done.
- 03
Leave yourself a next step.
Rate the session and write a short note. What clicked? What needs another pass? Your answer stays with the time in History.

Finish the session.
Keep the useful part.
Watch a real Burrow walkthrough: finish a Deep work timer, answer the two reflection questions, and save the session. Marko is there for the small reward at the end.
What happens in the clip?
A Deep work timer is running. Finish opens a rating question, followed by a note about the session. Saving the answers shows a gem reward and returns to Home. The clip uses sample data.
The video is silent and plays when you press the controls. A note and a rating are included to start.
From a running timer to a saved reflection.
Questions that fit the subject
Ask yourself something useful.
Rename the note question to “What should I review next?” Keep it short enough to answer while the session is still fresh.
- Start with a note and a ratingCapture what you finished and how the session felt. Skip a question whenever you need to.
- Build your own reflection ProUse a Study template, reorder questions, or add a number, mood, slider, tags, yes/no or photos.
- Come back to your own recordReview the time and notes in History. Pro’s charts and insights add deeper patterns as your record grows.

Every question type and template is included with Pro.
A rhythm you can change
Make a goal that fits this week.
Use a daily, weekly or monthly time goal. Burrow’s smart nudges learn when you usually start and can remind you if that moment passes. You control the nudges and quiet hours in Settings.
A time log records the sessions you save. Pair it with your notes to decide what needs your attention next.

Is this a Pomodoro timer?
Burrow uses a count-up timer. You decide when to pause and finish, rather than setting an automatic work/break cycle. You can use it to record your own study intervals.
Can I track more than one subject?
Yes. Create an activity for each subject, or keep one Study activity and name the topic in your session note. You can start with up to three activities; Pro includes unlimited activities.
What if I forget to start the timer?
Add the session by hand, with its time and a note. You can also edit a saved session in History.
Do I have to answer every question?
No. Skip any question. You can choose reflections after every session, after sessions over five minutes, or never.
Are my study notes private?
Your notes, reflections and photos stay on your iPhone, or in your own iCloud Drive if you turn on backup. Burrow can send usage statistics under a random ID, but those do not include your notes, answers, photos or activity names. See the privacy policy.
